NATO Voice Trainer does not operate a server for collecting your training activity. Scores and progress stay on your device.
1. Overview
NATO Voice Trainer is an iOS and Android app published by Pyoba LLC. It helps you learn and practice the NATO phonetic alphabet. You do not need an account to use the app. The app does not request your name, location, contacts, or payment information.
2. Microphone and speech recognition
When you start voice training, the app requests microphone access and, on iOS, speech recognition permission. Your spoken answer is processed through the speech recognition service provided by your operating system. The app uses the recognized words to check your answer and display feedback.
The app does not record or retain microphone audio files, and Pyoba LLC does not receive your audio or speech transcripts. Depending on your device, settings, and speech provider, Apple or an Android speech service may process audio on the device or remotely. That processing is governed by the applicable provider's privacy policies and settings.
You can stop listening within the app and revoke microphone or speech recognition permissions through your device's settings.
3. Local training progress
Training statistics, such as your correct answers, attempts, and streaks, are saved locally on your device. They are not sent to Pyoba LLC or synced through an app account. Uninstalling the app or clearing its app data may erase this progress.
4. Advertising, analytics, and third-party services
The app does not contain advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or in-app purchases. It uses your device's built-in speech recognition and text-to-speech services, which are subject to their providers' policies.
This website does not install analytics scripts or advertising trackers. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, whose hosting infrastructure may process routine technical connection data under GitHub's privacy practices.
5. Emails to support
If you email us for assistance, we receive the email address, message, and any other information you choose to include. We use those details to respond to your request. Email handling is separate from in-app training activity.
6. Children
The app does not knowingly collect personal information directly through its own systems, including from children. Speech services on your device have their own policies and controls.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this page if the app's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top will reflect the latest version.
